This week we’re pleased to welcome the newest member of our QuickFee US family: Jennifer Warawa, who was recently appointed as President, North America!
Starting her tenure on November 28th, Jennifer is now leading QuickFee’s operations in the US, where she will be contributing her considerable insight as an accounting thought leader and executive in the professional services world.
Bringing over 20 years’ experience to the table, Jennifer spent half of that time running her own firm in Canada. She also spent 12+ years in leadership roles at Sage, the market leader in cloud business management solutions, supporting millions of small- and medium-sized businesses across 23 countries. Jennifer has also been a frequent and highly-rated keynote speaker at accounting industry events and business conferences.
More recently, Jennifer also spent over 3 years serving as the Chief Commercial Officer at DIRTT Environmental Solutions, North America’s largest provider of prefabricated, modular interiors for nonresidential spaces.
Commenting on Jennifer’s appointment, Former Chairman Barry Lewin shared the following in the ASX release:
“We are delighted to have appointed someone of Jennifer’s experience and caliber to drive the overall continued growth of QuickFee in the US going forward. Jennifer brings enormous experience both working in, and serving, the accounting profession, and has developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by CPA professionals today.
“With our refined and focused strategy on our core professional services business in the US, Jennifer’s deep experience and senior relationships in the accounting profession will be an invaluable asset to the team, and her appointment positions QuickFee exceptionally well for the major growth opportunities in front of us in the US market.”
Speaking about her appointment, Jennifer said:
“I am honored to be asked to lead QuickFee’s business in North America and I am truly excited about this opportunity and the future. It is a great time to be part of the QuickFee family, not just for myself, but also for my new team and our shareholders, as we build upon the company’s strong foundation in professional services payments and lending. I look forward to executing on our plan to accelerate growth, deliver run-rate profitability by June 2023 and drive increased shareholder value.”
Jennifer has also been recognized as one of the Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Accounting by CPA Practice Advisor and the AICPA for seven consecutive years (2013-2019) and was named by Accounting Today as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People for nine consecutive years (2010-2018). She was also included in the Top 40 Under 40 by CPA Practice Advisor for six consecutive years (2010-2015).
Jennifer was born and raised in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, moved to the US in 2010, and currently resides in Dallas, Texas. Jennifer and her husband Shane have been doing foster parenting since 2014 and have an 18-year-old son Zachery who is with them permanently. Jennifer jokes that she is ‘solar powered’ – if the sun is shining, she loves to be outside enjoying it.
Welcome to the team, Jennifer!
